The boardwalk connects historic Fairhaven to downtown Bellingham
My kids have called this park, "the pirate park" for years and even though it is on the smaller side, the view is endless. Right in the harbor and overlooks the bay, such a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Oh, and if the spring and summer, don't forget to bring your kites-very popular here!
Padden Lake has a really nice, moderate trail that circles around the lake. There is even a dog park and an off leash trail that my dog absolutely enjoys!
This has to be hands down my favorite park in Bellingham. It's gorgeous all year long and lots of different trails that can take you to different parts of Bellingham. Easy for walking or running and you can always have time to feed the ducks or play at the play ground, bike trail or a little basketball.
The Huxfords
I have lived here for over twenty years, I can't imagine living anywhere else. What my family & I love most about living in the Pacific Northwest is how diverse it is. From snow to the ocean within an hour away, and so many lakes and trails to choose from, it's hard to not enjoy a place like this!

Looking for a rich, and yet smooth wholesome dessert? Sirena Gelato, located in Fairhaven, has the best Gelato in town!
If you like to paint during tea time, then Creativitea is your place to go! You can be creative while enjoying British tea, scones & tea sandwiches.
This is definitely one of our favorite pizza places in Bellingham, Wa. It's a focaccia bread and they have all sorts of original flavors.
If you are looking for rich and huge slices of cake to eat for dessert or a mid afternoon snack, then I would recommend Pure Bliss located downtown Bellingham.
Fat Pie Pizza doesn't serve just your flat bread style pizza, it's a full on high crusted pie style that is filling! Located in Fairhaven.
I just discovered this delicious little bakery in Fairhaven and was pleasantly pleased with how moist and scrumptious their macaroons, brownies and coffee was. Not to mention they serve a really good latte and hot chocolate :)
As you can see, there are so many delicious places to try while you are in Bellingham, WA. These are just a few places we love to frequent, but there are so many other restaurants that we still have yet to try.
